Cauldron Tattoo Constellation Ceiling

The owner of Cauldron Tattoo in Columbus, OH had been wanting to commission a statement piece for his already perfectly curated shop for a while. When he saw our ceiling mural at Mercury Diner, he knew we were the right ones for the job!

He gave us some images for inspiration of constellation illustrations from the Byzantine and Middle Ages eras and we ran with it! We landed on a design that would incorporate the specific constellations: Canis Major, Orion, Taurus, and Aries.

After these were applied, the owner and other tattoo artists agreed that one more needed to be added! So they hired us again to paint the Pisces near the back to finish up the whole ceiling. It’s ~giving~ celestial cartographer studio, and we’re into it!
